The St Simons Island Beach

Regularly voted one of America's favorite beach towns, St. Simons Island, Georgia is a beautiful barrier island located off the coast of Georgia an hour between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. Our vacation rental is located in Kelvin Grove, an active and family friendly neighborhood, just off of The Bloody Marsh. We are just minutes from the beach by golf cart and less than two miles from the "center of town." Great restaurants, shopping and play are just around the corner, and with Sea Island (10 mins away) and Jekyll Island (30 mins away).

The parkers, Georgia

One full week at The Fig House made us feel like the best version of ourselves! The location was perfect. The neighborhood feet homely and safe; with the bikes we brought, it was super fun to finish dinner and then go out on a bike ride. It takes only 5 min to ride to East Beach, to the supermarket or to our local hang out, Gnat's Landing Bar and Grill.

The house has great gathering spots as well as private nooks for everyone, which is amazing when you travel with the whole clan. My 2 year old LOVED the pool and bunk room, my mom hung out around the daybed, right off the open floor kitchen reading design books from the house library, and my dad and I finally figured out who the master of the ping pong table was!

The house is styled for an easy, fun, upbeat and modern family lifestyle and made us want to stay forever. Jumping in the heated pool after putting the kiddo to bed and sinking into the comfy couches in front of favorite shows was awesome. The bedding was new, clean and fresh, the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, and the yards were both fully landscaped and offered a cool hipster tropical privacy vibe. Bryce, the owner, is the sweetest islander you will ever met and was readily happy to answer all our questions and made us feel right at home.

Translated from French: We felt the special attention and energy devoted to each room. The vast living room, with its many seats; the bright, cheerful, modern bedrooms and a functional kitchen space; a library rest area is located in the center of the house. The heated pool, with it’s lush green backdrop, is also a signature of the house with it's green plants, aged oak, and confederate jasmine. The home had a game space with a pool table and ping pong table which only added to the pleasure of having a good times with friends and family. We highly recommend this home.
